I showed off a view of the Urbanmech LAM fighter mode a few days ago on facebook, now time for all the modes. Yep, we covered them all.
Initially we weren't doing a ground mode, because we've got a lot of grounded urbies already, but by the end we thought why not, and it'd be build correct.
While obviously made from our existing Urbanmech sculpt, we did more than slap wings on it. The weapons load is all energy to save weight and remove recoil issues. The feet have thrusters and the out sides of the thighs articulate to help vector thrust while in airmech mode. While in airmech or fighter mode the pelvis rotates 180 degrees, and in ground mode the wings fold up. Lastly while flying as a fighter there is additional cockpit glass on the back as the internal cockpit systems rotate up 90 degrees. Can't show the slots properly at this miniature scale, but the tail fins on the legs retract when not needed.
Mechanically, a lot of this works without magic (other than the flying trashcan part).
We weren't cleared to make a proper "build ground up to be a lam" new visual for an urbie, so we made do with how we could manipulate the existing body to transform some without going full bayformers with 10,000 bits magically moving around. Hence, the fighter mode isn't too visually extravagant.
And remember folks, this is a dumb product and you don't have to buy it :P
