New Prototype Prints
Added 2022-06-23 05:28:25 +0000 UTCI had some prints made of our new mechs to paint up for fun and occasionally drop into the local games with, so here are some photos.
Just primer applied at this point, not perfect coverage but they already look great.
Of course disclaimer that these wont represent the final mini quality as plastic softens them up a little.
These two images are free to share. I'll make a separate post with patreon only images.

There is definitely a varying quality window at Liya and we try to push for their better results. My guess is they have multiple engineers and when we score their top guy they come out amazingly.

2022-06-27 21:21:18 +0000 UTCFrom my personal experience with the plastic minis from the Clan Invasion KS, a lot of the Wave 2 Mechs (particularly the Comstar Lvl II ForcePacks) were much crisper than the ones in the starter box and the first ForcePacks). Hopefully the Mercenaries KS can keep improving on this.

2022-06-24 07:41:22 +0000 UTCI actually snapped all 8 of these bases off of plastic minis I wasn't intending to use and found it very easy. Only a few required some prying with a blade. So hopefully debasing the vees wont be too hard.

Not to mention all the "I changed one part so now it's my creation" people :P Print is now properly accessible but still not mainstream, give it time and things will likely go there.

2022-06-23 16:14:56 +0000 UTCJeez those look good printed. I know it will NEVER happen, but sometimes I wish Catalyst or whomever would get in the business of selling the STLs. Honestly with current supply chain nonsense it could save them some headaches. Although I guess they would have to worry about digital piracy and such.
