Rifleman IIC Concept Sketch

You're right the 3D will give a better view. The Rifleman IIC is one of my fav mechs of all time so I'm only concerned because I care haha. Looking forward to the 3D!!! (Please don't make it look like it has a hat, please don't make it look like it has a hat... continues to mutter away to himself in the corner).

Maybe you'll find the dish to be sized more to your liking when you see the 3D of it. Though this one always had the smaller dish between it and the Galahad. We did have a "face" version of the cockpit, but this direction was requested. More offensive to the oldschool, more appealing to the new school.

Dome needs to be way bigger on this thing and the cockpit glass area needs to be reduced so it has the cool "eye" again. The Glass Spider looks way more like a Rifleman IIC than this art. it's supposed to have a giant AWACS-style radar for shooting down airplanes with. It's not supposed to be wearing a little hat.

The barrels and ammo boxes(?) make it look like it's sporting ACs instead of lasers, but overall it looks great. I love the Rifleman IIC.

On my Rifleman Imgur Public post, Good @TFeak just supplied that it could be as simple and strait-forward as a Stock Rifleman “running #heavy” with Double Heat Sinks… the more I think on that, the more I really like it. : )

Ahhh! …the Longbow! THERE is an under-appreciated BattleMech! Having spent 23-years in the Army, enlisting as a Private First Class and returning as a Lieutenant Colonel from the Defense Intelligence Agency with duty on The Joint Staff for the last 3.5 years of my career… I can affirm that the acme of mass combat is both battlefield operating system specialization and Force Structure/Training and Maintenance Base. FASA had a real genius for War and Wargaming, and got so very much “more right, than not.” And that genius… for War and Wargaming? (I think they call him, Jordan.)

I'm torn. On the one hand, it's a great concept and a clear improvement over the original. I really don't think I'd change a thing. On the other hand, I think I'm going to miss the strange, twisted look of pained surprise on the original "face".

Impressive work. That mech needed a lot of love and it has more details in one arm than in the entire original miniature. Congratulations!

Clint IIC, Orion IIC, Wyvern IIC, urban mech IIC, commando IIC, highlander IIC, and Guillotine IIC are the IIC mechs left that are appropriate for the time frame it seems you all are focusing on. However, in later eras there are even more that pop up. Ostscout IIC, Stinger IIC, Thunderbolt IIC, Viking IIC, and Beowulf IIC. You could argue that Phelan's wolf hound, "grinner" was also a IIC mech though it was more of a clan tech upgrade. MUL lists the wolfhound IIC though

I'd love to see an Orion IIC! Also I'm still hanging out for a Mauler. Although with the rumors of some Mercenary themed products coming soon, hopefully the poster child of Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries will grace us with its presence!

Nope. They were not just drawn into lore, but written into it. They exist. And looking at TRO 3055, 58, 3060, etc..not sure how they were any worse than...90% of what came before?

I would love to see updates of the Commando IIC, Guillotine IIC, Orion IIC and Highlander IIC to bring them in line with the redesigns (plus the Orion IIC needs new art badly). This though is amazing work!

There's the Orion IIC, Guillotine IIC but really they don't look much different from their originals, not really enough to count. And I like this, its a shame its missing its 47 gallon hat :D
