Javelin Concept Sketch

Next on the Bishop Bonanza list, the Javelin.

I think this design falls squarely into the utilitarian workhorse look, so when it came to a redesign there wasn't much need to blow it up even if it's a somewhat mundane design.

In 3D we have the head tilted forward more, jut made it flat for easier art reference.

My favorite back stabber! Looks great!

William B Teter

This looks very good. I appreciate the fact you made the Javelin go on a diet and get buff.

Blacknight

Love it!

Get Sneaky!

I love the first car comparison. probably the best description of my feeling about this mech

Looks fantastic!

Andrew McKenna

I can imagine this as a Davion Fire Javelin. Very nice artwork.

KaiserDunk

I always loved how the Javelin and Commando seemed like brothers in arms, both in terms of their armament and their looks. This keeps that look while just trimming up the details. Nice.

Robert Schuster

Loving it, looks great!

Simple and utilitarian, I like it

Joe Wright

Nailed it!

Kanrei13

Great job on this one. It looks much more solid than the original

Much better than the PGI Jav

Taylor Shead

Get your pith helmet and your sarong! This is great work

Wonderful work!

Steven Cross

Nice! I really like this. It feels like it belongs next to a few of the other redesigns from the kickstarter too.

Pledger K

Well done, Bishop. Can't wait to put a couple of these down on the table :)

the way too skinny with droopy granny boob SRM "racks"? Possibly my least liked of the MWO redesigns.

Benjamin Myers (Bishop Steiner)

in fairness, because of the general disdain Anthony has often had for some of the ...looser Loose designs, my original was more radical, mostly because I didn't expect a more basic update to fly. Anthony was the one who pushed it back to a bit more OG, and I just happily followed his lead. I'd say this one, like the X-Bow omni was maybe 50/50 me/Anthony, if not tilted a little more in his favor, TBH.

Benjamin Myers (Bishop Steiner)

I like it. It's not too thin, it's well proportioned, and it has a basic but clean look. I think Bishop did a great job integrating the helmet without making it look silly. A javelin's like a starter car; no, you didn't choose it, and maybe you'll complain about years later when you're piloting your Highlander or Marauder, but you appreciated that it was there for you when you had nothing else and you'll always have a soft spot for it.

That is one of the sexiest redesigns I've seen... though i am biased as a huge javelin fan. If there was one new redesign that I've seen so far that i could put into plastic now, this would be it.

"Here's the SRM train!" --A Javelin pilot, probably.

Theodore Lehman

I like this significantly more than the too-skinny MWO version. I can't unsee a smiley face looking at me from the sensor probe thing on the side of the head, though.

Dan Middleton

I always appreciate the respect Bishop shows for the design intent of the original 3025 mechs. Man is worth his weight in pesos!
