[35x45] Abandoned Mine - Launch Post

Hi there!

I'd been entertaining the idea of a making a mine map for a good while now, and over the last month I finally got around to drawing one! After some cursory research, I was somewhat surprised to discover that while there's plenty of already existing mine battlemaps to choose from, none of them go for that 'fantasy mine' look I had in my mind. You probably know the one: scaffoldings and catwalks lining the walls of spacious caverns, creaky bridges built over dark chasms, rail tracks running precariously close to the edge of an abyss - the works. Primed with that knowledge, I set out to work.

It... kind of spun out of control, and likely turned out way more elaborate than it needed to. To be honest, figuring out how to go about the layout of this map took me way longer than I'd like, but hopefully the end result was worth the headache.

The design goal for this map was to let you and your players have some fun with movement and positioning. There's some high ground, a couple of potential jumps to be made, a ropeway to rappel down from, and - of course - the claustrophobic narrow passages you'd expect to find in a mine.
