Also as far as i know theres no stated reason as too why chopper stays in his small form, but i assume its because brain point takes less energy, the brain only uses glucose for energy (sugar, another possible reason as ti why chopper goes crazy for candy and sweets) and therefore he can relax and prep for battle easier, even if his dear form would feel most natural

My favorite combo attacks of Gear 2 is when Luffy goes: “Stamp! Spear! Missile!” He just dominates. I don’t know how many times I rewatched it just for Luffy and just for you guys’ reaction 😅 this shxt was awesome. I love how no matter how much you guys knew about the gears, you were so excited and taken aback to see it happen now. And like someone else said, seastones are a weakness for all devil fruit users. And I might be wrong, but it’s also impossible or damn near impossible to cut.

Seastone saps your energy when touching you if you’re a devil fruit user. So even if you’re strong outside of your devil fruit you won’t have much strength when trying to break out. Also we saw back in alabasta with the cage that seastone is very strong material, massive crocodiles broke their teeth trying to bite it.

GEAR SECOND!!!! 272 is one of my fav episodes! Its the stage of the show where you understand, Luffy's really like that! his fight IQ is completly opposite from his lax and idiotic nature. He picks up on their six power "master" techniques, adapts and uses them against them! At the time, in 2005 this was super original and not common (goku and other MCs used to have massive training arcs dedicated in order to upscale massively)! Many anime in the years after picked up on this trait and attributed to their MC! To me it was especially awesome because in the manga, the fights up until now felt less destructive or "powerful" in a sense. Luffy would just beat his opponents via basic rubber streching, water/blood coating, lightning immunity ect. But Gear 2nd opened a whole new set! One of my fav Luffy fights to date!
