This is coming from a place of growing up with Indiana jones they’re almost the definition of an action adventure movie, they’re timeless so they always be there waiting. But in terms of movies yall are watching now I say go with Apes. I watched all of Apes movies last year and I’ve already rewatched a couple of em. Honestly though you just gotta see the CGI in all of them it’s jaw dropping

I feel like things such as Jurassic Park and Pirates of the Caribbean learned a lot from the franchise. I don’t think Hollywood would be the same today with Indy.

I played Lego Indiana Jones on my DS when I was a kid, and the only way you could use fans to advance to certain platforms was by blowing into your DS microphone. My microphone ended up breaking and I couldn’t complete the The Last Crusade😭 And Raiders is awesome, but Last Crusade is my favorite of the trilogy

The PG-13 rating was actually created because of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, along with a few other films. So many people complained about the intense violence and gore that the MPAA ended up changing the system and adding the PG-13 category.

George Lucas actually wanted to create adventure films that were new mythology themed. His two ideas were space adventures & the adventure of an archeologist looking for supernatural artifacts. Yep! Space adventure idea was Star Wars!! He believed that Star Wars had more potential & was more fun to do so he shelved the Indiana Jones idea for later. While doing Star Wars he spoke to some friends about Indiana Jones because he wanted it to be made. Nothing happened though until after the original trilogy when he met up with Steven Spielberg. Love the shirt Carter!! Yes Cannon John Williams> 🎶 Duel of the Fates 🎶 is my ringtone & that scene is the most pivotal moment that determines Anakin & the galaxy's fate.

It can feel a little formulaic now but it think of how all this action must have felt like back then. The movie still holds up. I also think Harrison Ford is extremely gifted at playing main characters with questionable morals (also please watch Blade Runner at some point). You should finish this trilogy because its so iconic.

Crusade is my favorite because of a lot of memories and personal stuff I have tied to it but I also feel like objectively Raiders is the best movie of the 3. Glad you guys enjoyed it!!

In May of '84 Temple of Doom came out and in June of '84 both Ghostbusters and Gremlins released, too, all to PG ratings, and in August of '84 Red Dawn came out as the first PG-13 rating, mostly in response to the aforementioned movies. Ghostbusters and Gremlins were re-rated as PG-13 in cinemas they were still running in. I definitely remember having nightmares from Gremlins. I was born in '76 so this really takes me back to my childhood. Great reaction!

Especially the first 3 films. I actually enjoyed the recent ones too. They get lots of backlash but I still find them entertaining and fun.
