King of clubs is one of my fav games from this season. I would say AIB is really good for their games, world, and visuals and some characters moments while squid game is for the characters. I know certain characters are cringe, especially in the Beach Arc like niragi or the bald-tattoo guy, but I think it adds flavor and I can look past it and enjoy the actual games, visuals etc also poor carter lmaoo yeah that was a crazy scene

You’re kinda twisting what I said and misunderstanding the message of the show there. I never said the philosophy/the lesson given by the King of Clubs is that people have to live JUST for themselves. I also never said he has to live for himself “instead of living for his friends”; I said he has to find his reason for living and live for himself instead of JUST living for others. Finding your own reason to live and loving yourself while at the same time care for other people you love aren’t mutually exclusive in the first place. You can do both - you can live for both yourself and others at the same time. But because Arisu didn’t know how to love himself and didn’t know his purpose of living anymore especially after losing his friends, only to find motivation to live after Usagi’s there to accompany and encourage him, and because he constantly emphasised in the previous episodes that he wants to protect Usagi and wants at least Usagi to safely return to the original world without mentioning his own reason for fighting and living, there therefore comes this message of the show. And that’s the reasons why the show is showing these dialogues between Kyuma and Arisu, with Kyuma telling Arisu that he needs to also find his own reason to live. It’s exactly because Arisu experienced loved ones die that if he eventually becomes the only one left in this world, he would need to explore his own reason/motivation to live and not just give up right there. I never said he has to live JUST for himself or any of us in reality live JUST for ourselves. He can and of course should live for both himself and others; and us too. Of course we share happiness and hardships with others. But that’s not even the point there (it’s not what the show is emphasising or what I’m trying to convey). These tv show theory and philosophies are not simplified nor cheap even under the weight of actual reality. There’s a reason for it. The message behind is an encouraging, uplifting and meaningful one for anyone who’s lost their loved ones even in the actual reality. When the show is sending such a positive message to all the people out there in depressing situations, you’re here nitpicking it to say it’s simplified and cheap philosophy which falls apart in reality. You’re twisting it even more with your last paragraph making it sound like the show or I were saying we should just live for ourselves. That’s NEVER the message there. The message is to love and care for both ourselves and others.

Solitary confinement was actually a side story in the manga. None of our main characters were in this game. I'm glad they adapted it and featured Chishiya as main. This was one of the better adaptations but, I still prefer the manga version. That's how good the manga is and how it became my favorite game.

❤️This is my favorite Heart game. The psychological warfare!! This one showed the study of group dynamics. Yes, it was annoying how most of them followed "blue dress girl" but, that's how group dynamics work. A hierarchy of authority is formed. Now, combine that with heightened paranoia and fear. Sometimes, it's easier for someone else to make all the decisions. They're all trying to survive by any means necessary and they believe their "leader" is doing what's best for them. Once the leader's power is established, it gets harder to disobey. Take Aguni for example- everyone was hesitant to attack him during the witch hunt. Ofc abuse of power eventually lead to a revolt, which ended in all of their demise. Notice how blue dress girl first lied and said Spades. Later, she was killed on a Spades call. Poetic justice. The study of social psychology in situations of life and death is so fascinating. The fight or flight responses leading to irrational and illogical decision-making is a reflection of human nature.

It isnt something that can be easily and completely understood through some TV show or in a Patreon comment section. In reality, when you actually experience many of your loved ones die or disappear, these simplified, cheap text book/movie/anime/tv show philosophies about having to find your own reason for living fall apart under the weight of ACTUAL reality. I love Chishiya's character, and the Chishiya game is my favorite. Jake of Hearts is a "upik" game. I'm surprised you don't like him, but that's okay; I still love Chishiya, even if he can be a bit of a rat. To give him some credit, he didn’t kill anyone like some of the other characters in the show. He always survives with his clever mind. I’m sorry, but I love him more than Tatta. Don’t get me wrong; I respect Tatta's sacrifices for his friends. I love him too. Rip, Tatta. Arisu is also one of my favorite characters. Arisu and Chishiya are my (GOATs). Maybe AIB is just not for you then, unfortunately 😢 But I think the dub version of subtitles (which they show on the screen for the last few episodes and this episode) play some factors into the weird actings and dialogues, like the dubbed version subtitles don’t really match their actings and sometimes aren’t even what they’re saying in Japanese at all. It makes it more weird and cringy. It would be better with the English subtitles.

Btw I notice you guys were watching with the correct subtitles (English), but the subtitles shown on the screen seems to be the dub version (English CC) and they are really inaccurate, they’re not translating what the characters are actually saying but creating a whole different version of conversations. The subtitles on screen (which don’t represent the dialogues actually said) also don’t match the characters’ actings there, which is why I think some people watching along for the first time might especially feel weird and cringy about the dialogues and actings. As some people are watching the show first time with you guys, it’s best to change the subtitles shown on screen to English (i.e. the ones you guys were watching with).

This episode isn’t one of people’s favourite episodes for no reason, especially with the psychological battle, the trust and betrayal displayed and the human nature shown by the different players in the Jack of Hearts game. The conclusion of this game is fire 🔥 Jack was right about the deprivation of sleep, imagine it happens every hour you don’t even get to sleep, or at least not a proper sleep, having to wake up in time or worry about your suit until you eventually go crazy. The two heart games in s1&2 are actually an interesting contrast: in the Seven of Hearts game you wouldn’t want to play with your friends whereas in the Jack of Hearts game you would definitely want to bring in someone you could trust rather than playing it with complete strangers. But ironically, anyone who’s played a heart game before or at least know what it’s about based on previous experience wouldn’t go into these hearts games with their friends. With the King of Clubs game, I like how an important message of the show is brought out: Arisu has to find his own reason and purpose of living, he has to live for himself rather than just/only living for others, whether for his friends previously or Usagi now. Otherwise, when he lost Usagi, he would just lose his own will to live. The King of Clubs game also shows how different characters viewed their own life and faced/handled death. How you live your life is one’s own choice: while we have other characters regretting their lives in the previous world or giving up on games in this world, we also have this band living their life to the fullest and playing games with everything they had with no regrets.

Gosh I really don't know man.... I keep watching these eps every time you guys drop them hoping it'll grow on me since soooo many people have been hyping it up, some even saying it's "better" than squid games but uh... yeah, I gotta say I strongly disagree, idk, the acting and the dialogues are just.... holy freak so weird and cringy. Like the way the characters talk and stuff, the only actor who actually acts nicely is our mc Arisu and that's it, In general I don't feel attached to any of the characters either, none. Like that scene with Tatta didn't feel anything to me lol. Sorry for the long yap, this is actually my first ever comment about me disliking a show, usually I just drop it without saying anything, but I guess I'm just disappointed with this one since it's so overhyped I guess with no actual delivering
