This is explored a lot throughout the show. A big theme of Breaking Bad (and Better Call Saul for that matter) is the different masks we wear to hide parts of ourselves or present ourselves in a certain light.

This may seem like an annoying character trait to some people but I actually think the confidence he has in himself and his coworkers is one of his better qualities. Throughout the show you also see hank being serious and dropping the “act” when his family and friends are involved. Also hank just has very dark humor, I don’t think half the time he says stuff he even realizes that it’s offensive.

I HATE those kinds of “friends” who always make fun of you when others are there so they can be seen as “funny” but are nice to you when you’re alone. That’s the vibe he gives off 😒 Once u start picking up on those traits, its hard to go back to liking him 😭 he just becomes straight up insufferable

I just love that moment of realization for Walt where he realizes he no longer has a choice to play or not, the devastation at the plate and the piece missing. The tie-in to their calculations for the human breakdown and how a percentage is unaccounted for...the soul? A missing piece? Bryan Cranston as White is just the best acting I can remember.
