He only chooses to do so if he recognizes that it's an actual threat. I mean, throughout the show, it's shown how he's been wanting to keep a low profile. The only reason why he agreed to get reevaluated and to do these missions is because he needed more money. He'd rather stay lowkey if he could.

He knows he's strong, but as we've seen, he can be quite cautious, which is both good and bad at the same time. The manhwa and the anime don't say it explicitly, but Jinwoo probably wants to know who exactly he's going up against, and how strong they are before he drops his pretense fully. It serves as both a surprise attack, since the boss monster will underestimate him if he continues to pretend to be weaker than he is. If he really does reveal himself, he would be showing all the cards up his sleeve before he can even determine whether he's a good match-up for the boss. Right now, we know Jinwoo is an S-rank, but even then, is he stronger than the boss? We don't. It's just like Cannon says. You would doubt whether he can take on the boss by himself. So it's not totally unreasonable for Jinwoo to hide his strength until a more opportune time. BUT, it's also true that his actions will sometimes frustrate the viewers, because his cautiousness does tend to mean that he'll only take action after someone has gotten hurt.

If I were her and I met someone like Jinwoo, you bet I'd wanna know more about him. Being interested in someone who smells nice FOR ONCE has got to be so relieving to her The Hunters Guild is currently considered to be the strongest in South Korea btw! They're the only guild in the country to have 2 S-ranks in their guild, so that contributes to their reputation:)

2025-02-02 04:22:02 +0000 UTCA few details that were in the manhwa but not mentioned here: - Cha Hae-in actually thought that Jinwoo might be some kind of spy from another guild when she was on the phone HAHAHA - When Kihoon talks to Jinwoo about the size of the gate, he was actually a little surprised by how easily Jinwoo was carrying their equipment haha! - Son Kihoon and his strike squad were actually REALLY REALLY scared in the manhwa. They didn't depict it the same way here, which I thought was a shame since their fear really amplified the relief when they survived the first assault and also the horror when they realised there were more High Orcs behind them - When the healer girl with the purple hair hands her will to Jinwoo, he actually tells her completely seriously that he'll keep it for now, but that she'll be the one who gives it to her family. So technically, he's saying that they'll live:)

Idk if they said how long, you’d have to go back to season one. But long and short is the monsters cannot exit whenever they want, only during a dungeon break.

In the first season it was explained that hunters have 7 days to clear the dungeon or a dungeon breaks occurs, which is basically the portal opening up for monsters to break out into the real world. Thats what happened in Jeju island with the ants, hunters failed at clearing it and a dungeon break occurred, now the island is inhabitable.

There are people with stealth and there is people with summons but there isn't people who can just make dead people summons. Plus each person has a set type of attack while he has sort of all of them? So people would find him questionable and might even realize that he can level up since he gets stronger each time he meets people. If he shows his hand, there is a chance people might figure it out.

I know that they can't keep EVERYTHING from the manhwa in the anime, but I feel like it would have only taken like 10 seconds of screen time to explain this as to not cause confusion.

I commented this before I watched this reaction episode after I watched the episode myself, lmao, I'm glad Carter thought the same thing. Also yeah Jinwoo doesn't get involved because its not his dungeon. He isnt a part of their guild. If he took over, then there would be huge repercussions. Also his reevaluation is the next day, not the current day. Him being an E rank, and then "reawakening" to S is a HUGE deal. Reawakening is an extremely rare thing to happen. Let alone from weakest to strongest lol. Also also, the monsters cannot leave the gate whenever they want. It takes 7 days after the gate opens for it to "break" and then they can leave the gate. The one big one that he threw the broken sword at was only out because that dungeon broke. Earlier in the episode, the healer chick got a call to come help with a dungeon because it was a low rank one and the guilds dont handle those. Those are usually handled by a rag tag group of hunters thrown together last minute. They were unable to gather enough hunters to take care of that dungeon in time, so it broke and the monsters got out.
