But yes, you’re absolutely correct, it’s like the last AOT opening; yes, it does say and show the rumbling, but it doesn’t reveal how and when and why it happens, it just makes the viewer excited for what’s to come.

Satisfies everyone and keeps things fresh in your mind when you’re just watching the shows and you can feel the vibes/energy of how the openings suit the seasons.

Every episode leading up to the climax of the series and the promised day would have those epic guitar strings playing to close out the episode and it would be so hype. 2025-01-23 15:06:19 +0000 UTCThe feeling Carter had for one of the FMAB ones where he said “just hearing these few seconds reminds me of spring” is kind of the entire point of anime OPs… but also watching it like this you’re forgetting what episodes and storylines even happened during these OPs so it’s missing so much attachment and context. For example anytime I hear any of the FMAB openings it vividly reminds me of the stories and arcs that were happening because they’re tied together. Same with AOT.

Anime openings are basically mini trailers for every arc. The thing where people freaked out about not wanting you to watch the OPs has been pretty overblown since AOT in my opinion, and even then I feel like that was mainly only because of the last one spoiling Eren’s final titan form for like .5 seconds.

They literally took the actual voice actors into a recording studio and had them sing songs written for their characters. Someone on YouTube even translated them. Some are genuinely bops and others are hilarious. Super charming thing that not even a lot of One Piece fans know about because they were only released in Japan.

I like season 3s opening as well. The endings are pretty good. I hope they watch those as well. Personally, I always watch the opening and ending themes.
