2024-11-21 23:55:16 +0000 UTCI love this show, it's so good lol it started off being so weird, so it set the mood, which is why I think all the weirdness in this show seems acceptable. And while it's weird it's high school students, that's just the time period most romance or slice of life anime and manga are set in because it's such a formative time in Japan culture. It's a time I think Japanese adults all look back on fondly because it was a time they didn't have college, work or adult pressure and expectations on them (which in Japanese culture can be extreme). So while I think it is weird they're teenagers, most slice of life anime are gonna be in HS since that may be a time they have fond memories of.
