None of us here in the states are responsible educated, or protecting ourselves, so that's why Americans get weirded out. Age of consent is 18, mostly due to the intentional lack of educating and promotion of simple abstinence as a discouraging method. If you've noticed, certain tax free orgs don't want anyone in the US having sex outside of marriage, or for any other reason than procreating. Cultures in contrast for whatever reasons are inevitably going to be shocked. But Hollywood and American television does also have a problem with sexualizing everything and everyone (probably because of the lack of educating, and conditioning of sexual repression).

I think they're talking about the actors looking so young, most shows dont show teen nudity (even if the actors are 18+ it is implied that the characters are much younger). But yeah europe is a different standard to US, the latter are much more prude. I went to an American High school in germany and the culture shock for Americans coming here is definitely real on many aspects

Minimum age for sexual consent in Germany is 14 years old. Most European countries have this set between 14-16 years of age. So when you guys are weirded out by this, most of us Europeans get weirded out that YOU are being weirded out by us having sex when we are in high school. We think it is perfectly normal to have sex in high school. As long as you are responsible, educated, protect yourself from STDs and unwanted pregnancy. As of 2021 adolescent births in Europe have drastically declined to fewer than 2% and keep declining. I think we might be onto something here.

S2 let's goooooo! My mind was blown when i first saw S2 ep1 and suddenly there were two new timelines (i thought we would only see future characters but not the future if it makes sense ?) Ur theories are so interesting to watch. I swear - as soon time travel is in game, everything is possible. U don't know who is who from which time. As a german: i hope u can /have the option to chose other CC. The subtitles are a little bit off. Not totally - but...I don't know, some wordings just give another vibe and weight to certain situations that u kinda missed out bec of this translation.

Looks like you guys are watching with DUBtitles instead of the real subs. This happens when you click on captions (CC) which gives u audio information along with dialogue, but in the case of foreign content, it almost always takes from the dub script instead of the actual direct translation (subtitles). Captions are for people with a hearing difference, hence them telling you whenever someone breathes funny even tho u obviously know how they're breathing and don't need them to tell u. But mainly it's bad because of the weird word choice and outright wrong "translations" that often get thrown into CCs. If there's more than 1 option for English text, don't choose captions, choose subs.
