Absolutely not. Tiered advanced access is the worst. I've actually found myself abandoning stories because of it. Support one, get 10 advanced chapters, at once or twice a week releases, then you are now completely stuck paying that increased rate just to continue getting the one or two chapters a week you were getting before you supported it. Now, you have to wait a long time for RR to finally catch up with the patreon for you to go back to the same release schedule. I've been supporting PirateAba for a few years now, and I've never cancelled, because 60 bucks a year for an amazing story is a bargain. If, however, It became a tiered thing where I now had to pay 10 dollars for 5 advanced chapters, and 15 for 10, I'd just be angry. I rather enjoy the story Defiance of the Fall and planned on supporting it until I discovered it was tiered and had a 15 dollar tier that gave 30 advanced chapters. That means I'd be paying 180 dollars a year, just to read a story at the same rate as RR readers, once I caught up. The 30 chapter lead for patreon supporters serves no purpose other than to separate readers from their money, and then keep them subscribed or have to wait over a month to read the next one. I did it for a story once, that had 30 or 40 chapters for a patreon readers, and when I binged then unsubscribed, I found myself forgetting exactly where I had quit when RR caught up and never returning to the story.

please pirateaba use a word to hand translator. There are a few good once out there and most of them have trial versions. That should at least lower your burder a good chunk as a first draft

Adding on to Ali's comment. I'm stunned by your patreon approach. You're the most prolific writer in webfiction. You're also the best writer in webfiction. And you're not being much of a business-person. I personally am far more the "expert" than the businessperson, so I'm rather sympathetic. That said, I would think that adjusting your patreon tiers, splitting your next 2 50,000 word chapters into 3 bits, and giving some higher tier folks 2 or 4 chapters ahead would do something for your income. And your fans are quite impressed, and many of us would pay happily.

Phenomenal chapter! I still want to know what Trey meant by “it came from our world” Earthlings bring about ‘change’ wherever they go. If there’s destiny or fate in inn-world then I’d say that Erin injured Gazi to lead to this specific outcome. The fact that that creature came from a different world and that ending just makes me shiver.

I am usually not a fan of the Flos chapters, but this one was really good. But seriously PirateAba, I love your work but PLEASE don’t hurt yourself over it. Yes I would be sad if you didn’t write for a while, but I would be a lot sadder if I knew writing was physically hurting you. Take it easy on yourself and even consider taking a time off or even getting a cowriter to help you out. I am pretty sure we can start a GoFundMe for any expense our favorite pirate needs! Can't disagree more! Chandrar has THE most diverse set of characters. We get to see real changes in the continent more consistently then anywhere else! Plus high level characters are more fun.

I find it harder to stay engaged reading Chandar chapters. To me it feels like the twins are just side actors and their story just does not draw me in like Erin/Ryoka story lines might. Still a great read and what an ending.

Sorry to say, I still don't care about chandrar at all. I would like you to write about chandrar for a whole month and tell us beforehand so that I remove my patronage for said month until you go back to any izril or baleros. Maybe it's because so much of these chapters just tell us : oh wow, these guys are great, look how great they are, aren't they great? With just a bit of actually interesting information buried within.

Good gripping 'K' chapter... I'm rarely a fan of 'K' chapters, but this one was really good... Maybe continue to evoke more horror in the King of Destruction chapters.... It kind of makes the King of Destruction a more ambivalent character, knowing that his entire continent is such a shit show. I'm still waiting for the horrors of slavery to be shown. You've heavily implied that 'Slave' is a class..... And we know that classes can change emotions, and how someone thinks... Slavery can be a lot more horrible and humiliating in this world I think then even our world has heaped and heaps upon its victims.
