First time I worked front counter at Taco Bell during COVID(I usually did drive thru) I had an older couple come up with some small requests, and I'm like cool! So the food comes out, the guy comes back up because there was a misunderstanding(namely that the chalupas have tomatoes on them despite it LITERALLY being in the photo of it, and also he didn't SAY anything about no tomatoes for the whole meal) so we get that remade. And he gets the food. And he's just standing there. Lurking behind my line. Menacingly. While their brand new food gets colder and colder in his hands. And it's really starting to fluster me cause I hate messing up. Assistant manager comes up to the counter to see what's up, and he starts yelling and just absolutely talking shit about me while I'm standing at the register right next them. And I'm abouta cry. Whole line in front of me looks super uncomfortable but not sympathetic. And then!! My avenging angel! Out of nowhere! Dude comes up to the counter to pick up an online order and very loudly "Thank you for working right now! In these circumstances!! BECAUSE UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE, I know how to properly express gratitude." Shut that guy right up and gave me enough time for the AM to let me go into the back to cry for a bit while she switched me out.

I am looking forward to watching this with someone who has so much restaurant insight. This adds so much inside information for me. Thanks!

2025-12-07 17:57:05 +0000 UTCI'm trying to find a recipe for the dish you said you would use as your signature dish to see if I could make it at home, How to you spell that dishes name? also the fact that people are being asked to leave the restaurant after 2-3 hours of waiting for food is insane, also most of them probably had to pay for the valet parking.
