Funny thing, but a marquis, sometimes called a margrave, though the meanings are technically different, is the title of a lord whose territory borders enemy lands, and can be translated as border lord, or literally as edge lord... ironically fitting that pennywise would play a French edgelord, huh.

Lance Reddick, who plays Charon the concierge, died before JW4 and Ballerina were released, and Ballerina was the last film he made before his sudden death at home back in 2023.

I don't know if anyone's already did this but I just wanted to take a moment to just acknowledge some moments from both this and the last movie the director took inspiration from. For the director putting in a finger chopping scene as initiation via Assassin's Creed and a black beauty DJ calling out hits on the protag with accompanying music from The Warriors, I see you bro, glad to have a like minded friend!

IIRC the plan was to stop with this one, because initially it was only supposed to be one film but then they wanted more. So they wrote 3 more movies and ended it with him dead, because than the suits couldn't just bring him back, but I guess they made it anyway.

They drive on the right side of the road in France, same as the US.

Okay, I have to point this out, purely because I don't think Alicia's seen it but she should at least recognize her. The woman, the ballerina lady, is Anjelica Huston, who I think most people from the 90's know her more as Morticia Addams from the Addams Family movies. The good ones.

First off Alicia(I don't know where PartyWolf but even so) ain't from America and second off even if she was it wouldn't matter cause it isn't only America where people might think that.

1:33:24 That IS the Dead Man's Hand, actually. The "Dead Man's Hand" consists of two black aces, two black eights, with the fifth card being unknown (so any fifth card fits).

The prevailing hint to John being alive is the doggo spotting something in the distance.

Aw man, the camerawork for when the fight progressed from room to room with ceilings removed is one of my favorite sequences of the entire franchise - not because the fight itself was all that special, but the camerawork and effects were. It was so video game-like, being the POV you get in so many different kind of video games.

btw on the Arc de Triomphe fight one of the goons gets hit by a classic Porsche 911, which I think is one of Keanu's, which is also why Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077 has a classic 911.
