If someone is "born evil" then that make them far harder to hate, its like when a character is mind controlled.
A person with a tragic backstory is easier to hate since it feels more like they are making their own bad decision.

AFO's origin is honestly a nightmare. His mother was a homeless prostitute who got pregnant and was more or less utterly abandoned by society, partially due to her own choices. She continued to drink and smoke throughout her pregnancy, and ultimately died in childbirth, with the implication that AFO's greedy absorption of nutrients was weakening her dramatically throughout the pregnancy. AFO and his twin brother breast-fed from their mother's corpse, may have ended up consuming her body completely. He was a villain from the moment of his conception.
Also, fun fact, while Yoichi ended up being given a name by AFO, as far as we know, AFO never deigned to name himself. Fans have given him a name - "Zen" - but that name never appears in canon material. The only name associated with him is the name he gave to his 'successor,' whose body he intended to steal: "Tomura Shigaraki."

not so hot take: Normalize EVIL villains. I'm HAPPY that All for one is straight up just creepy and evil FROM BIRTH. Anyone saying like "oh no it's his upbringing" is delusional when bro came OUT THE WOMB stealing his mom's quirk, taking his brothers hand as if he was an object he could take, and then ATE HIS MOM for nourishment, he even HOGGED the nourishment while both him and his brother were fetuses'.
He is evil as fuck and it's fun. I don't want a humanized mass murderer with a "tragic" backstory that makes up for his fucked up reasoning

So like, it's wild he was seemingly evil from birth. But in a similar sense to Toga, I wonder if it's more that the Quirk just creates a personality to fit its needs? Like, his power is inherently greedy, the whole thing about it is taking and hoarding, and he was overwhelmingly that sort of mentality from the get-go.

"one quirk is all you need" said to the inhuman being whose whole existance is taking, stealing quirks, is such a fucking AMAZING roast!

if peoples' quirks can have an effect on what they're like as a person, then AFO's quirk, being essentially stealing quirks, and him being greedy to the bone, wanting to have everything for himself, and have everyone "looking at him"... kind of seems in line with that thinking

So. The first’s quirk was passed either when he grabbed his hand… or when he exploded.
Because AFO had film over his eyes his membrane couldn’t absorb it… so KUDO DID?!?

Never mind I have another thing:
The anime actually tones up all for ones Kudo massacre.
In the manga, All for one ONLY wipes out Kudo’s entire bloodline as well as any woman and child close to him. He doesn’t straight up kill ‘anyone he suspects’.

One more thing, all for one’s Omni Factor Unleash move is the absolute ultimate combination of EVERY SINGLE QUIRK HE HAS AND HAS EVER COLLECTED
Even contact moves like bloodcurdle are attached to some of the tongues that contract from the monstrosity.

Okay, I have to ask: has Horikoshi ever met a baby? Because like no matter the creepy music and framing the description of "believed everything belonged to him" describes literally every baby. That's just babies, man. A baby showing complex moral reasoning and altruistic behavior? Now, that'd be way creepier.
