The Falcon and the Winter Soldier 4+5

John walker is the best character in the show bar none. And it is wild that the characters keep giving him shit for treating the literal evil terrorists like evil terrorists

Good movies with representation such as "Get Out" or "Nope" are hailed as great because they're good movies that still showcase representation, whereas movies like Ghostbusters 2016 and the Star Wars sequels are simply bad movies that use their representation to undermine genuine criticisms as simply bigotry. The issue with Sam being Captain America goes far past the color of his skin, most notably the fact that its not progressive at all since he's abandoning his unique identity as Falcon, a fully-fledged superhero of color, to take on a mantle previously belonging to a cis white man.

Nah, Sam and Bucky were bad for what they did to John. Poor dude was clearlly overwhelmed by the responsabillity of being cap, was excitable from the serum, in devastated for the lost of a friend so close that it should be called a brother and in shock for what he had done, and both just walk in like "yeah bro, give me the shield, you don't deserve it" like DUDE, i know he can't have it, but you have to walk literally MINUTES after all that while he's having a breakdown and be like that? Obviouslly he was gonna snap. Like, I know they are not the guys with more emotional inteligence in the world, but stil wtf

It’s just so damn sad how real Isaiah’s words have become. Without spoiling the plot of Captain America 4, but even before its release—when it was announced that the actor who plays Falcon would take on the role of Captain America—people started trashing not only the Falcon and the Winter Soldier series but also the movie, both publicly and through IMDB ratings. And that’s exactly what Isaiah said: will people truly understand or even accept a Black Captain America? You see it every time a movie comes out that represents people of color, or when the hero isn’t the typical white cis dude, but instead a woman or—like in the What If…? series—a Native American. People online just lose their minds and start looking for any reason to trash the show or the actor playing the character, simply because they don’t fit the stereotypical American image. Which is completely absurd when you think about it, because Black people are literally part of the American identity itself.

You talking about the I AM CAPTIAN AMERICA scene being sold by Wyatt, really does reinforce my belief that Wyatt Russel needs more roles, the guy really is a good actor!
