The show doesn't delve into enough conflict for me to care about the action-fest its become. Our only example of a demon came through a flashback (yet again) when Frieren almost starts to "hip-fire" her magic beam at the "smooth-dude" demon. That flashback shows Himmel slaying a girl demon when it was absolutely necessary. No organizational warfare, that girl is the only demon in the town (so how did she get there in the first place) , nothing. Just one example of a demon that Frieren witnessed being slain.
