Update 3/14/22: New Enemies 3 & New Mechanic

Gah, meant to have an update sooner, but work's been hell. Thankfully, I'm off the rest of the month, which I intend to use to maximize working on the upcoming release. Sorry for the silence!

First things first: some more new enemies!

This is (surprise) the Goth, an enemy on the school map. I might also use this grouping for an NPC arc, because the art came out pretty great, in my opinion. Like most skinny enemies, there's nothing complex about her from a combat standpoint. And she's cute enough. Kinda bland, kinda so-so, but cute...

Her levelled-up form, on the other hand...

Curvaceous.  This enemy, I'm thinking of calling either Gorth or Gorthy, as a pun (Goth + Girth/y). Or maybe just Girth Goth.

And then, there's the next size. I don't know if I can *squeeze* (pun kinda intended) this enemy into Phase 2, she seems kinda Phase 3 size (Phase 3 not being part of the intended update) but I'm really proud of how it came out, so maybe i'll make her a bonus boss to justify it:

I also zeroed-in on the *extremely clever* (/s) name 'Gothicc.' I'm actually not certain which enemy design should get what name...  I'm open to suggestions on that front!

I'll also say at this point that the Goths have two more sizes after this, the last of which will be named 'Gothzilla,' and I will not be challenged on that, haha. The Goths, as they develop, are either neutral/no-element enemies, or Butt-element enemies; I haven't decided yet which I want. Comparatively, those who played the earlier builds and so know the cheerleader/Cheereater enemy design, know that that set will be Belly-element ultimately.

The Fat Element Triangle as a combat design element has helped focus some of the enemy design concepts. With this in mind, the Cultists (whose art can be seen in an earlier post) are Belly element, while the GAIN enemies will be Butt element. This leaves Boob element, unrepresented...

Or are they?

Okay, sure, but--

This is the scientist enemy set, or rather, the Scientit! Or Sciencetit. Still figuring it out. These enemies are part of the third faction! Who are...??? To be covered later.

And with all of these semi-unique designs, it'd be real neat if there was just a little more flavor to them, A little something...

Introducing the skill/mechanic, Snitch! (Also available as a cheap consumeable item)

Snitch lets me add a little bit more descriptive material to enemies. It's more work with not a lot of payoff, to be sure, but it's a fun idea I wanna execute. It is 100% just 'Tattle' from Paper Mario, but hey, if Mario can do it... Anyway, let's see what the Fairy has to say about the Goth!

Okay, so she's kinda rude, and ultimately useless here. But maybe she's not always so unhelpful?
