Ep218 made the Ars Technica list of worst TNG episodes ever https://arstechnica.com/staff/2014/03/the-ars-staff-picks-our-least-favorite-star-trek-the-next-generation-episodes/#page-2

Jobbe Smit

Still less cringe than the ghost sex episode.

Jobbe Smit

So, fun fact - the actress that played K'Ehleyr (Suzie Plakson), you've already seen in a previous episode, but she was playing a Vulcan - the episode where that odd scientist died, but put his mind into Data.

Basilisk

"Galaxy" as a word is from the Germanization of the Latin "Via lacti", or "Milky Way". Because until the 1930s we didn't realize there was more than the one. It's really all about boobs.

Robert Cooper

I watched TNG as it was released and many times since, I have never noticed all Berazoid have black eyes.

Vinnero

Hey did anyone else notice Diedrich Bader on the Enterprise crew? I most remember him as the funniest character on the Drew Carey Show; and he was also Rex, the proud husband of Starla and creator of Rex Kwon Do, in Napoleon Dynamite; and he was the neighbor in Office Space, "Fuckin A".

MacGuffinStuff

Fun fact: Under the fish alien makeup of those 2 aliens (in the manhunt episode) is Fleetwood Mac.

Imthecatman

I think George is going to love Ds9 based on some thoughts on the third episode.

Greg Johanson

George, i think youre getting stuck on the term "generations." in normal context, that 50-80 years. if you remember from the clone Rhyker and Pulaski, they were cloned at their age of 40/60. they have maybe 30 years each. 15 Generations of adults is not 1000 years, its most likely at best another 300. The entire problem is the genetic degradation of cloning. For 5 people they only have 350 years before complete genetic collapse "in 50 years... its terminal" as said by Doctor Pulaski. Cloning degradation has no solution, giving them another 1000 years wont solve the issue.

Downside dn

K'Ehleyr was played by Suzie Plackson, whom you previously saw as the Vulcan doctor Selar in "The Schizoid Man." *Apparently* there were plans to make that character a love interest for Worf (which might explain why that character was introduced at all, when Pulaski could have filled the same story purpose in that ep), but it seems the plans changed, keeping the actress and replacing the character.
