For some reason, this episode got me thinking on how body 'upgrades' have affected both May and Roko. May and Roko each were helped by friends, but the fundamental difference is one's agency in the change: May desperately desired it, while Roko was forced into it and would rather not have needed to. After the upgrade, May was on fire, and Roko was burned. So to speak.
