I'd guess it probably depends on the gender range that Yay experiences and how they feel the need to express those genders. Also how much work it is to adjust one body for more seldom experienced genders (if there is any genderflux with their experience) or how much it is possible to divert focus from individual instances. The multiple instances did seem to have different gender presentations so polygender seems to be at least one aspect

I pretty much assumed that Yay was gender-neutral in personality, but that their several bodies could be anything they wanted (some more maleish, some more femaleish)... After all, they're a super-powerful AI in multiple physical bodies. Why NOT take advantage of being able to choose?

You're making me think. Yay seems to have a collection of bodies that are very similar, but I recall in the communal home there were different... is Physical Gender Attributes the right word? I assume Yay is gender-neutral (fluid? Androgynous?) because of the blended consciousness across multiple instances. So I wonder if Yay has chassiseses in play that are more heavily gendered in appearance. And would you need to balance their divergence with an equal but opposite heavily gendered model to keep the communal mind at the same center.

Oh feel free. I'm 90% certain Yay only pretends to be amoral. Or rather they recognize the tremendous power they possess and the way it could deform the world if used carelessly so they avoid exercising it, outside of a few specific situations, hence Bubbles. I think it depends. Right after she got her new body May made a joke implying that Rojo also has orifices. It would make sense for robots with a human standard anatomy to adopt human customs of modesty. On the other hand prior to her new body May didn't seem to wear underwear, and less anthropomorphic AI tend to just walk around nude.

They probably have an ulterior motive. We know that Roko has been disassociating, and while it's nice to see her embrace her sexuality that first panel looks very post-bender, so it's likely she's in a bad spot. We also know that Yay would like to help, but doing so directly violates one of their very few (they claim) principles. Finally, we know that Yay could almost certainly buy the entire block without straining their financials. Put that together and recall that Roko typically doesn't share her problems and I think it's likely that the friendly eldritch abomination wants to get Roko wound up so she'll actually open up a bit when she vents.
