OTOH, if it has worn off and Sam crashes and burns, it'll be the most peaceful night they've had in that house in ages and he'll be giving Faye props for working the kid hard enough to wear her out.

Her Dad probably restricts her intake of soda - and wisely so. He probably didn't expect her to start drinking coffee until she was older.
