It Will Come Out In The Wash

EVERYONE IS CRYING AND I HATE IT

It Will Come Out In The Wash

Comments

Happy Holidays to you, Jeph, and to all your patrons.

NOW Tilly can work for Hanners without either feeling like she is getting in the way. She may not have to do much at first, but I expect Tilly will prove to be very helpful when Hanners needs the help.

Wild Card

Jerry Seinfeld: β€œWhat is this salty discharge?!”

Will Weaver

Swapping fluids with another person? Hanners has come a LONG way.

Kevin Hicks

What?! You're like, going on a vacation? Good for you. I would like to take this opportunity to say how much I enjoy your work. I look at a bunch of comics every day, but I spend the most time with yours. I've noticed that I usually re-read it several times, looking closely at each frame. I don't do that with any of the others that I look at. The arcs and the dialog you propel them with are compelling. Excellent work, sir.

Peace On Earth - Purity Of Essence

Captain Button

You made fluids come out of my eyes, Jeph.

Fred Baker

At least it's the more tolerable of the fluids

Minzoku Bokumetsu

Ok, I feel for Tilly now. 😿

Julia Allen-Hesse

This is a very good title.

Jeph, thank you for your continued levels of awesomeness. Your storytelling has been exquisite! Thank you.

Random Jones

turns out she's been high on angel dust this whole time

Jeph Jacques

Crap. I just realized that this might be the last comic until the new year?

Hawkeye

My dog's response to my crying: Dude, man UP and lets go play fetch!

BIG FEELS

Stoodmuffin

Not that I'm trying to rush you through this arc! I love this and am looking forward to Hanners and Tilly getting home and see where they go from here!

Hawkeye

Jeph. You are a master at creating characters we feel like we know on a personal basis! I've loved how you have been doing these character development arcs. First, Bubbles, and now Hanners! Who's next? Steve?

Hawkeye

This isn't kissing at all.

A sheep

The suit Hanners is wearing is clearly dry clean only.

Nikki

I’m not crying, you’re crying!

Will Weaver

"They," not "she." But yes, they had some mad negotiating skills. The boundaries thing was not professional, but it seems like they got the message. Props to Hanners for being firm but kind when she sees that someone means well.

Lisa

There's only one solution to this. Release the virus!

JPMK! {verb}

I absolutely LOVE how much growth we've seen from Hanners; this arc has been excellent.

More than partially. Both parents colluded to use their daughter as a weapon to hit each other with.

Maurice Kessler

That's good for Hanners though. She reacted badly when momo did that, and momo is a robot....

David Howe

Wow, Hannelore has grown so much. It's like there's character development going on in this comic! ;)

LJ

Hanners has her own job, though - two infact, if she's still doing the counting-things-for-a-living deal. I never got the impression she needed either of her parents' money to survive.

Reyn Goldfur

Every ship needs a Tiller.

Summer Sudbrink

What I signed on to say, too. ;)

Hanner's personal growth gets me every time. I'm not crying! You're crying!

Matt

And the last breakthrough -- though less of one than some of the others. Hannelore was already capable of overcoming her phobias to reach out to someone in pain. She's done similar several times. Next week, we find out the pharmacy had mixed up her meds cocktail and all this was the rush from an unexpected brain meds change!

Eric Burns-White

Love this! Small typo before going live on the site: "too good to be true," not "to good".

Mister Cletus

I'm hoping Tilly doesn't follow Hannelore's lead because she still has her father's money to support her. Tilly could be cut off if she does the same with her Dad.

Brent Catherman

Hanners is hugging without hyperventilating!

Brendan Jones

Oh the feels are real!

Amy Gilroy

Tilly's father is also partially guilty. From previous comics, it almost seemed that by getting Tilly this job, he was hoping he'd get some other advantages through Corporate Espionage (which probably didn't happen as expected)

Dear Lord, this was an emotional roller coaster. D:

Kayisacat

NO IF YOU CRY THEN I'LL CRY AND OH GREAT NOW THE DOG IS CRYING TOO

Dylan T

Not Tanners. This isn't full house.

Dylan T

Originally wasn't a fan of Tilly.... now I ship this. HANNERILLY!TANNERS!

this makes me so happy in a sad kind of way <3 Hanners is amazing

JD

Aw, Tilly! You made one mistake, which you were bullied into making! And then you helped Hanners stand up to that very bully! Also you are obviously crazy good at administration. (Mini shout out to all the commenters here who've pointed out that it was her mum's abuse of Tilly that pushed Hanners to act. I've seen a lot of folks talking about how various cognitive/emotional hangups that prevent them from looking after themselves evaporate when they need to look after someone else - which is jolly interesting - and it looks like that might be what's happened here.)

Diptych

Or possibly, just possibly, a good friend.

Bagge

Tilly is a GOOD PA

Bagge

They exchanged their fluids, it's the Freemen way of showing trust and friendship! Dune references keep coming up.

Evgeniy Semyonov

Awe tilly it's not your fault. To be fair they really felt like professional level PA (edited cause I forgot something important)

Kyle Major

Awwww I love it

Oh my god the feels....

Lord Crusade

Hannelore has a good heart.

Tannerbot

I love it though
