Unstoppable

Winslow is helpful :)

"Find and collect one free-range chicken egg in each county of the contiguous 48 States. If you are observed by a DEA Agent, you must start again from the beginning."

Jumpy James Johnson Junior

This is making me uncomfortable.

Julia Allen-Hesse

I'm not liking Tilly so far. She seems like a bitch, not realizing No means No. I guess she'll end up being more likeable before too long, but she's not making a good first impression. Poor Hanners!

Chris Hewson

Tilly is Dendy.

RoofPig

Asking the important question!

Rebecca

Wait. Where did the pancakes go?

Tilly being imposed on Hannelore reminds me of May being imposed on Dale. However, the GoF (Group of Friends) will no doubt subvert and reorient Tilly in no time at all.

Holly Nelson

Do AnthroPCs have smartphones builtin? Can Winslow call out of his head?

Captain Button

Waiting for Hanners to realize that she actually does have control of the situation, as soon as she decides to exercise it. Tilly is her assistant, and presumably will follow at least some of her orders. Hanners just needs to figure out what orders to give.

Kevin Hicks

It’s not really about the usefulness, but the consent and control. I don’t think Hannah would mind an assistant that she choose to interview and hire. This one is creepy and is most likely also a spy for her mother.

LaPrimaNerda (Sarah Davis)

The sheer depth that the "yes" runs in this yes-(wo)man is disturbing.

Dylan T

She's not an AI. All AIs in QC have square voice boxes like Winslow's.

Dylan T

While I'm not 100% sure if Tilly is just an oblivious AI, her complete lack of empathy/complete overdose of smugness is reeeeeaally unsettling. The fact that she doesn't seem to care how much Hanners is upset by her presence is a helluva lot of warning bells.

J.M. Hall

Hannelore is discovering the age where "Get off my lawn" is a real thing. Also, CCW.

Lightsabr2

Bubbles or Elliot would probably be the most suitable for removing someone without actually harming them. Faye or Momo would also probably be effective, if somewhat more likely to damage Tilly in the event of an ousting.

Garrett Yates

This storyline is stressing me out. All I can think about is how angry and upset and overwhelmed I'd be in Hanners' place. And Tilly's dialogue today seriously gives me the creeps. I hope someone makes her realize how not-okay this situation is. (Most effective: Bubbles; most entertaining: May.)

Charlotte Grubbs

Yeah, I'm having a hard time finding the humor in this particular situation. It's a complete violation of Hanners' privacy and autonomy. "I know you need me even if you say no." Creepy and invasive.

Charlotte Grubbs

I am so mad on Hanners' behalf right now. Her mother knows, neither she nor Winslow can physically remove Tilly, all the while Hanners is forced to endure thoughts of an unknown, uninvited human being shedding hair and skin cells in her sanctum.

I keep trying to boop her nose, but there's this screen in the way >:/

Fart Captor

"And now that you're here, I've filled out an incident report for you, I just need a signature and I'll take myself to the cells."

Andrew

We should always be prepared for a terrifying outbreak of Zombees

I'm actually surprised that Hanners doesn't have a landline. She seems the type to have one in the event that the cell towers go down, so she can make an emergency call to the authorities in case of zombies. Or bees. Or zombie bees.

I once worked at a startup where the VP of engineering hired an admin assistant very much like a male version of Tilly. He drove all the rest of us engineers crazy, but he did manage to increase the productivity of our VP to the point where she was able to once again spend evenings and weekends with her family. And that made all our lives better.

BobC

I would love so much to have my own assistant. Hanners should give her a chance.

JD

Have her go up on the roof and order a pizza.

Captain Button

Mrs. Ellicott-Chatham is aware that Hanners is too nice to call the cops. Or at least she assumes that. Bubbles, OTOH, lives right downstairs and is not shy about intervening (but I doubt Jeph will bring her into this storyline).

Carl Fink

I can imagine we can all benefit from having a Winslow.

"Yes, hello police? Yes i need you to come arrest me my boss doesn't want me here."

Kyle Major

How long will it take her to call dad?

Don't need the police. Just need Bubbles. Perhaps a 20 second conversation is all that would be required.

Jason Zions

Police would certainly work, yes. So knowing Hannelore's mother, there is something that we don't know yet that would interfere with a police removal.

Well, you have to admit she is chipper about this

Nakawē Writer Mari

gaaaaaaah creepy nonconsensual house-invading assistanting is creepy
