Jeph if you're crazy enough to read this junk, I hope you realize the amount of love that goes into concocting a theory about how you don't exhibit inconsistent perspective. I seriously <3 this comic.

Gary Walker

It's actually due to the extreme index of refraction of air in the QC universe. The index varies inversely with distance, making things far away look "normal", while things up close look "zoomed".

Based on the last several comics I would like to propose a theorem which I will call the Theory of Special Faye's Butt Relativity: Proposed: 1. The perceived size and callipygian characteristics of Faye's butt increase in direct relation to: a) distance to Faye b) amount of clothing Faye is wearing Compare and contrast panel 2 in #3524 and panel 1 in #3532. This is similar to the way in which Bubbles' height changes in relation to how short the people around her are and how close she is standing to a door.

Blast from the past here - actual flying sub - <a href="http://www.app.com/story/news/local/new-jersey/weird-nj/2017/07/23/weird-nj-flying-submarine/502376001/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://www.app.com/story/news/local/new-jersey/weird-nj/2017/07/23/weird-nj-flying-submarine/502376001/</a> :D

Percussive maintenance was good enough for the astronauts who went to the moon, it's good enough for Faye!

Peter Jensen

After Panel 2 I was half hoping it would explode in her face. Because May.

Andrew

Percussive Maintenance = SRYS BIZNESS

Never hit anything mechanical in the presence of an AI. It could be a pet, or worse yet, a relative.

Ok. But W H Y

Percussive Maintenance is a real thing.

MikeT

Smacking equipment injects a sharp dollop of entropy, frequently dislodging things stuck in abnormally high energy states. Thus "kinetic input catalysis" or KICking machines is a proven troubleshooting method.

Gary Walker

Is that how you fix a microwave

Kyle Major

@joseph as a former IT guy, the idea is to use it yourself, but not tell the end user. You don't want to use up "the last hit".

I could spend weeks debugging my grad school instrument, taking it apart ... or just hit in the sweet spot with a large wrench

Dave

Hey now, that is a tried and true technique that I learned in technician school. Results vary by equipment, but 30% of the time it works 100% of the time!

Joseph H.

The one on the site now is ALSO numbered 3532. Curious.

Seth Aaron Hershman has they she pronouns

Hitting it to make it work (faster/better/at all) won't last long Faye. This from experience.
