Aqua

The base is incredible. Its size is around a few acres at the minimum, all underwater and with it spanning several floors in depth. And all of it is made with incredibly tough materials.

Not the absolute best materials on the planet, seeing as the construction workers and even blacksmiths of Oceana literally do not have the techniques to work with those materials, but still incredibly good.

There are various different amenities throughout the entire base. Including but not limited to a swimming pool, gym, dining hall, personal suite for myself, a couple floors full of guest rooms, and various other amenities.

At some point the place makes me wonder just how many people these natives are expecting me to have live with me, considering its enormous size. But at the same time, I don’t really care.

It’s all very nice, and the construction workers even set up skills to make sure it self-cleans itself. Making it so I don’t have to do anything to maintain the base.

Although, the dining hall is probably gonna be empty of any real food and staff. Since I don’t actually eat.

But it fits the vibe. So it’s fine.

The vibe is all that matters.

I give a firm nod of my head at that after finishing exploring the base. Only to find the Guildmasters waiting outside of said base for me.

And I mean Guildmasters.

Not one, not two, but three Guildmasters.

The Guildmasters of the branches from the Cryaxis Ocean, the Fortal Ocean, and the Qualta Ocean.

“Would it be alright if we stationed some hunters here to learn from you?” the Cryaxis branch Guildmaster asks after seeing me leave my base.

And the other two Guildmasters look just as interested in the prospect.

I feel what’s probably an imaginary vein twitch on my forehead in irritation before I answer, “Nope.”

“What if we offer to protect your base while you’re off hunting from robbers and monsters?” the Fortal branch Guildmaster asks while narrowing his eyes at me and the base behind me. “It’s well defended, but not invulnerable. And it’s not easy to track people nowadays.”

I open my mouth to reject him again, only for the third Guildmaster to speak before I can.

“You don’t have ta train em personally,” the short and gruff looking man says while looking me clear in the eye. “Just give em’ a recorded guide or somethin’. Then let them use tha facilities ye’ve got here.”

After a brief hesitation, and a glance at the chat that seems to think this is a good deal, I eventually give in and tell them, “Alright. But if any of them mess up my new home, they’re fish food.”

All three of the Guildmasters tremble a bit when I look each of them in the eyes. But they all nod as well. Agreeing.

Great. Now I have to deal with getting a training…

My thoughts grind to a halt as I remember the Sponsorship menu.

Right. I can just buy a training manual from there.

Or, better yet, I can even just record one myself when I’m on a job. I can find someone with military training and have them record a video for me.

That should work.

“Also, make sure everyone only stays on the gym floors and their assigned guest rooms,” I state with a nod before heading off without bothering with listening to their expressions of gratitude.

Back to my original plan.

Which is just more hunting.

I heard word of a lovely little critter located in a new ocean I haven’t been to yet. But I know where the ocean is.

In fact, I’ve known for a while. Ever since entering the Qualta Ocean and getting closer to its edge.

It’s an ocean known to this world as the Orcal Ocean. With a rather on-the-nose name.

The ocean is named that way because it actually has a primary monster that inhabits it.

Orca type monsters.

I’ve been so focused on the Kraken part of my Bloodline for so long that I haven’t really thought much about my Abyssal Orca side for a while. And this is a good time to change that.

Of course, orcas aren’t the only monster in the ocean. Which is the exact reason I’m heading there.

Because there’s been word from the Orcal Ocean’s Hunter Guild branch that a monster from the eight thousand meter depth is getting too close for comfort for the guild.

A monster that is quite interesting to me.

The creature is a massive five-headed fish with each head being on different sides of its pentagonal-shaped body. With each one having a different element.

One head breathes ice, another poison, another electricity, with the last two being high pressure water, and hot boiling water.

And most importantly, these are just biological aspects. They aren’t magic.

Which, of course, limits the creature to the amount it can shoot out, but it also means that my abyssal servants can copy it.

On top of that, the creature is from the eight thousand meter depth. So its level is around three hundred to three hundred ten.

It makes for excellent prey.

I smile at that thought as I swim through the ocean, only to eventually decide now would be a good time to find that training instructor. So I summon one of my large servants and have them swim me instead. With me being on its head.

Then I begin my research. Albeit only after asking a couple people I know.

Specifically my Hydra manager.

Because he’s from a Bloodline family. So he should have connections.

And he does. Within moments I already have a recording scheduled that perfectly suits my needs.

Such a great manager.

I smile at that thought before eventually just lazing away on top of the abyssal servant I’m using to swim. Only to eventually find myself distracted when I hear several orca calls.

Oh?

Now this is another reason I wanted to visit this ocean.

My smile grows wider when I see multiple groups of orcas all swimming towards me while making their little whining call sounds. Then they all begin swimming in circles around me once they reach me and my abyssal servant. With some of them even rubbing their heads against me.

“Hey, that tickles,” I warn one of them while laughing. And ignoring the comments in the chat about this being cute and how people are clipping it.

That said, I begin to feel a little awkward as we continue the journey. Simply because the orcas begin to follow me. And their numbers don’t decrease at all.

In fact, they just increase as we pick up more and more orcas.

So by the time I arrive at the Hunter’s City, I have a massive army of a few hundred orcas swimming around me. Terrifying the people in the city in the process.

Oops?

Of course, when the Guildmaster comes out and sees it’s me, or more specifically, identifies me and sees my name, they calm everyone down. Especially after noticing how the orcas seem friendly.

Towards me at least.

They clearly don’t have any intention of attacking the city, which is all that matters to her.

Although the Guildmaster herself – a rather short girl who looks to only be like eighteen years old for some reason – does not look happy with me.

I just shrug.

It’s not my fault they love me.

I begin petting the orcas some more as the Guildmaster seems to come to a decision. At which point she swims up to me, while leaving some distance because of the orcas, and says, “Lemme guide you to the velatron. None of the other hunters will get near you with these things with you.”

Interesting.

Wasn’t expecting the Guildmaster herself to be my guide this time.

“Sounds good tour guide number eight,” I tell her with a nod, making her freeze up for a moment before she stares blankly at me for several seconds.

“Number… eight?” she eventually mutters, only to shake her head. “I guess this is why they said not to apply normal logic with you…”

Then she just begins swimming downwards and to the east from the Hunter’s City while telling me to follow her.

I think she just insulted me.

And the chat’s just laughing.

Which is also rude.

But I follow her regardless.
