Good point!

I wonder how long until Daisy snaps again. Also hype for the next chapter!

Daisy's Mom: You're right in front of the house sweety. Daisy: Oh. This was a good chapter.

True, but also keep in mind the context he had from their talk in the library, especially, "I know what I'm doing. I'm Fine. ... Don't worry about me anymore." Mike probably has a lot more faith in Daisy after that. He definitely missed the social cues that she was upset, but even taking Paulo's concerns at face value, Mike probably figures that she's strong enough to work things out on her own if given enough time and some space.

Alec

Daisy didn't ask him to, and Paulo probably didn't want to impose after seeing that Daisy was getting upset and not understanding why. How does that paint ANYONE in a bad light here? Daisy was likely trying to keep her own feelings from affecting others around her that she cares about, and Paulo has gotten enough awareness not to push the issue when someone looks like they're not in the right mind to talk about something in the moment. The two of them are getting more and more open as these chapters progress, so I wouldn't be surprised at all to learn that they just talked this out between chapters, be it at the lunch table or when Daisy goes to visit Paulo at work.

Alec

Yeye, I think she did realize that. Even still, it probably hurts to not even feel like the third wheel, but the fukkin fifth spare tire that people throw in the trunk and ignore until something goes wrong with the other 4. While some can control them better than others, emotions are rarely logical. Definitely a good call on her part to take a walk and call for a pickup to avoid making the others feel responsible for her emotional state, especially since she obviously knew none of them were actively trying to make her feel sad or left out.

Alec

It doesn't look like Paulo was going to follow Daisy. So I don't think Mike screwed up here. The fact that he clumsily tries to cheer up a friend is even cute. Of course, it would be better if he didn’t approach Paulo at all now, leaving him alone with his thoughts (I’m sure David would have distracted him anyway). But to be honest, I didn't expect much insight from a man who a few minutes ago burst into tears simply because he had one good evening. But I'm glad that Mike didn't interfere in other people's relationships and give Paulo advices about Daisy. In such things, it is very easy to harm, no matter how good your intentions are.

He's a schmuck with no sense of priorities.

Dave Ostroske

Yeah, but he's a dick

Yewsea

I understand Daisy's disappointment, but she also 100% knew this was a spy on paulos crush thing

Fiver

It's surprising me how easily Mike will dismiss this despite everything that happened in freshman arc.

hazel

Aw! Poor floof-ball!

Mike showing more of that profound insight that makes him absolutely suck.

Jim Avery

Paulo should pick Daisy up. I mean, he does have a car.
