ExTheHex Volume #6: Recycled Scraps for Finished Stories

As I said last month, from now onward, Patreon won’t have any delayed story exclusivity, and ExTheHex will be a monthly series for as long as I have stories to burn as thanks for supporting me. Thank you to all of you who are still interested in supporting me, even without any new complete stories.

When I was a younger writer, I got pretty psyched out about completing everything in one swoop. I felt like I had to finish a piece all in one go, otherwise I might lose the spark and things might be wasted. Over time, my perspective on that has changed. Not only did time wear down that worry and I now am very comfortable working multiple days on the same piece, but my idea of “wasting” work changed pretty drastically. Frankly, I think if you write it down, it’s never truly wasted, even if it never sees public presentation. Ideas are still there, and can be refined and refurbished for as long as they deserve merit.

Today, I have three pretty old WIPs that would go unfinished for a very long time, only to have their ideas recycled in different forms. 

The Ruthlessly Efficient Princess Machine from 2020 was my attempt at striking at some more ruthless feminization stuff, after folks really seemed to enjoy Drone Doll Dress-Up. Boys go to a mall and get feminized in brutal ways! Ultimately this would go unfinished, but it’s essence has been scattered elsewhere. I think it’s ruthless tone with an all-powerful machine was eventually recycled well in CORRECTING, which seems to be one of my most enjoyed recent pieces. The “fucked up feminization happening in a mall” thing was pretty transparently reused in the gross story “Bro Check This Out” recently. As for the soul play and cruelty aspects? I am not usually super into these things, but there are some wips that may involve brutal feminization on that tier. The Omnipotent Hololive series is approaching this, and there's a completed upcoming story where a boy brain gets brutally wiped.

Thief Witch Gag Bitch is my first spin at a bondage-oriented story from early 2020. Ultimately, this one didn’t have as much put into it as the other one, but this idea for a second person gag story wouldn’t leave my head for years. It finally got to see the light of day with “Modding The Modder Boy”! I do think there will be more gag witches eventually. Witches are such a sexy excuse for like any fetish nonsense you want.

Min Maxing is a set-up without a punchline from early 2018. This one’s like old-old. Feminizing clothing items that give better stats is something I wanted to do very early on. As time would tell, it’d get used properly as the Ending to Elf Woman 2! Felt bad frontloading the story with so much non-lewd work, but the ideas eventually found a nice home. 

At least on my small scale working as an individual, it sucks a little when I can’t show off something I made to people in a finished form, but I’m okay when it doesn’t happen. Words that rot make soil for words to sprout. Things will find nice homes eventually, and I think that’s a cool part of writing.
