Alternately known as "Lao Mao," "The 1000 Years Cat," "The Old Cat" or "Wisely's Old Cat;" this 1992 Hong Kong horror/scifi/mystery/action hybrid from the director of "THE STORY OF RICKY" based on the novel by Ni Kuang mashes up everything from "The Cat From Outer Space" to "The Thing," "Body Snatchers" and a bit of "Terminator" into a bizarre alien invasion saga that's (eventually...) about thwarting an attack by parasitic space-fungus but MOSTLY about magical cats, absurdly over-the-top gun battles and one of the strangest fight scenes ever filmed.
