Dev Notes - 2025-06-30 - Back to it!
Added 2025-06-30 12:40:44 +0000 UTCHi Everyone, so with v0.1.7 making it's way through the sponsors (4th of July weekend will give out public access)I have started work on finsihing up all the branches that have been started. So now I am back at the company party adding some conversations and shenanigans. First focus is giving options for Xhiang, April and Andi. Nothing huge, jsut some options that will impact relation down the road as other characters become romance options. After that, moving on to Divya and Kelly, then the Soumya dinner option, followed by Joseph dinner option.
It has been refreshing to visit an old scene with the company party, which I thought was pretty fun making. I am also adding portions to the Fast Track capability to make it easier to zip through the game, since save files will not be guaranteed to work till later versions, so hopefully our sponsors have been enjoying that feature.
When I don't have access to rendering, I have also been working on a few 'look and feel' things, such as cleaning up the title screen, the content warning message, etc, just so everything looks a little cleaner.
I plan to do some new surveys this weekend after the managers have had a shot at the recent version and the public will see it for the first time as well. I want to find out what people think about the animations, the portion where I added sound effects, just see where I should be spending my time.
Also really despising how blocky the webp conversion still goes for dark scenes, so I think I may only use denoised png's for dark scenes. I may spend some time looking into this issue again. The balance between controlling image file size and quality is real. The game is almost 0.6 GB which is quite small I believe for the number of renders, and the raw renders I make I think are quite good, so I may be hamstrining myself a bit for small file sizes.
