Dev Notes - 18-Sep-2024 - Roadmap and Personal

Hi Everyone! Wow, first off, the Patreon has continued to grow in free membership and even a few new Patreons, so want to thank everyone for their support. It is crazy that this dare I made with myself has turned into this.

First off, I want to admit: I needed a bit of a break after the last release. This work has been crazy and I have been dreading it a bit, so I slowed down a bit and goofed off a bit with things unrelated to this (mainly Satisfactory :-)... if you know, you know). Life has been crazy with kids schooling starting back up and work has been kicking my ass, so I needed to hit the reset button. Consider the reset button hit.

Now, I wanted the weekends to be quick releases, so as I have been thinking and outlining the weekend, I kind of screwed myself a bit by making three branches, but, I thought of some ways to minimize that headache (friends and ChatGPT validated some of the approaches). Not going to get into those details, but the skinny of it: think more like a director.

Thematically, I want the weekends to be able to go off the beaten path a bit, so some time to play with other stories and characters, hence the character in the image above. Not going to talk about her background yet, but she will be interactable and will also help move the story a bit.

So my plan is, MC wakes up, you get a call to the Yoga studio where your LI asks you to go and you bump into her. If you did not select an LI (I both hate and love the fact that was an option, though I may have created more work), then it is another person for you to chat with/flirt if you want. Some options will then exist for the evening and then that will end "Saturday".

One of the things I have been thinking is that maybe the game is not spicy enough and perhaps I am a bit too much on the story side and it is boring people, maybe even boring me a bit. So I am going to try to make the weekends more focused on sexual interactions then the average progression in the story thuis far, and let's see how it goes.

I have posed some scenes already but haven't rendered much yet because I was still on the fence of where I was going, but I feel stronger about the direction now and the outline I have for Saturday and the tone change that I want to try to do.
