RealNet Updates, Streaming, Speakpipes, and Trivia!

Since we are slowly approaching max capacity (Discord only allows one to stream to 25 people at a time), we are moving the RealNet operations to YouTube. Chat will still be on Discord, but the video/audio feed from our live recording sessions will be livestreamed on an unlisted YouTube link. We’ll provide this link on Discord prior to the event. We’ve been having some Discord crashing issues during those sessions, too, so hopefully this helps our cause. Also, the recording schedule is posted on Discord usually a few days in advance.
There’s a new and easier way to send a voice message to the show. This is primarily used to submit a “you’re welcome, Chris” to be used in a future show. You can send us a message at www.speakpipe.com/retroam.
Speaking of streaming, I (Chris) am streaming my Suikoden II podcast prep sessions – which, is just me playing Suikoden II, taking notes, and chatting with the RealNet folks that are hanging out. I’m doing this via an unlisted YouTube stream, but I am leaving the archives up. I am fiddling with the idea of publishing them publicly, but for now I’ll be publishing them to Patreon for folks to check out. You can find the first one here.
Due to the positive response to our Trivia Night episode, we’ll be doing another installment within the next week or two. I will publish details here once we have things ready to go. This time, I’ve imported the trivia to a tool that will allow the audience to play alongside our dumbasses. Thus, the next trivia session will be Eric vs. The RealNet in Videogame Lore Trivia. Hope to see a lively crowd out there on the internet!
