Retrograde Amnesia Season Four will Cover Suikoden & Suikoden II
Added 2021-11-29 02:46:21 +0000 UTCThe results are in! Thank you for participating in the process yet again. This, of course, makes me extremely excited to cover a few of my all-time favorite games. To date, we've either covered games that neither one of us have played (Terranigma, Star Ocean) or games that we both played as teenagers (Xenogears, Chrono Cross, Parasite Eve, Final Fantasy VIII). This time, we're covering a game that one of us has played multiple times and that one of us has never played before.
Given how long it takes us to cover a game, I always hate that we have to disappoint some people. I do hope that this will inspire some folks to check out Suikoden for the first time. We'll have more on this later, but the games are still purchasable on the PSN store for PS3 and relatively easy to emulate.
As far as timing goes, we'll have more on that in the coming weeks. The current plan is to finish out Final Fantasy VIII (we're nearly the end of Disc 3 in recording) and then pump out some more Pod Kompression bonus episodes. A few ideas that we have ruminating: Spirits Within, Squall is Dead, SeeD Exams, Character Bracket, and of course, the one where we explain the entire plot to our significant others in a single session.
The weighted results are below. It didn't shake out too much differently than the raw results. I think since we've got a pretty healthy number of patrons now it balanced things out, so we may rethink how we do polls in the future.
Speaking of the future... the likely theme for season five will PlayStation 2 era games.
