ENDING SUNDAY: Let the voting begin for the next miniseries!

After a vigorous discussion, we have narrowed the nominees down to the following three games: Final Fantasy II [Pixel Remaster], Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium, and Star Ocean: First Departure.
A couple of notes:
- Suikoden was a potential miniseries last time around, but we've decided it will be a main series option for season four. We'll pair the first two games as a single season of the pod (probably, if it wins).
- Lunar: Silver Star Story has also been promoted to a potential season four option.
- If Star Ocean wins, we'll be covering the SNES fan-translated version of the game AND the First Departure remake simultaneously.
There will be no weighted votes for the miniseries. Whichever game receives the most votes will be the winner. We hope to start recording this sometime after completion of Disc 2 of Final Fantasy VIII. For reference, we just finished recording the Garden Festival section this evening, so we're honing in on the final few acts of Disc 2.

the bouncer one-off was kind of a dry run for doing a podcast with voice acting. once we have a good way of capturing everything we want to capture for the podcast easily, we'll probably be ready to do a game with a lot of voice acting

2021-08-21 16:36:51 +0000 UTCJust so you guys know, Shadow Hearts only has maybe 10 minutes of voice acting. It’s only in the big cutscenes. You could compare it to Xenogears’s voice acting - slightly more but it’s not fully voice acted or anything. I’m trying to picture what a FF2 recap would even be. I almost want to vote for it just to see that experiment.
