Get ready for the next season of Retrograde Amnesia

Thank you for your support through another great season of the pod. We're not going to write you a heartfelt letter this time, but we've been working hard on season three and have completely produced fifteen episode that are ready for release.

With only one more week left in the Chrono Cross series (for patrons), it's time to look ahead! A few updates:

We are bringing back the one dollar tier in a new form. The perks will be community access, access to live recording sessions, and voting rights. I think there's only one or two people left on it, but if you were 'grandfathered' from the old $1 tier at the end of the Xenogears run, you will be in this tier. 

The premium version of the season three show is only available on the RealNet edition of the feed. Please convert your feed to the RealNet edition if you have not already done so. You can access it at http://realnet.retrogradeamnesia.com or through your Patreon membership page. The shows will no longer be posted on the main Patreon page. The new integration makes it a bit easier to manage the feed and authenticate patrons, etc, so we're going to use that. It also offers statistics so we can get a better handle on what's popular and what's not within the Patreon community. 

The final Chrono Cross Pods of Fate episode will be released on Tuesday, July 6. This bonus episode will be our send-off to Chrono Cross as we turn towards Final Fantasy VIII. Of course, the episode will be the one where we explain the entire game to our respective spouses. It's another wild one!

And, now something from left field: We're working on a new (occasional) show, GOD BLESS THE RING, an exploration of the history, lore, and gameplay of classic beat 'em ups and fighting games. We're going to bring in a third host (thanks, Mark) and try to put a twist on our format. 

Fighting games and beat 'em ups aren't really ripe for a deep, critical analysis in the traditional sense, but we're going to give it an honest shot and see what comes out. Given the average batshit quotient of the lore in these types of games, we think it'll be pretty ridiculous. Our first episode will cover Double Dragon and Double Dragon II: The Revenge. We'll be recording this within the next few weeks.
