We each wrote you a letter today

Hello today. I don't know that I can accurately convey the level of surprise and satisfaction I have that this podcast turned into This Podcast. Like of course Chris and I are putting in the work and constantly coming up with ways to improve production, but I have never really been a first-person witness to the concept of hard work paying off in any meaningful capacity. It consumes a lot of our time—It's fun! But it eats a ton of time!—but I am pretty sure in the grand universe of ideas and collective thought and other metaphysical horseshit, we're getting back more than we put in with this podcast. Big Joe Energy. I don't know. 
Thank you for listening, thank you for telling us you're listening, thank you for giving us money every month, and golly I SURE DO HOPE Chrono Cross hits the same way or better.  I don't know what Chris is writing; hopefully it isn't the exact same thing.

Wow. I've said this before, but it bears repeating: we started this podcast on a whim, primarily to entertain ourselves and hopefully some of our idiot friends. This is weird to say, but once had a few fully produced episodes in the can, I thought that maybe we had something that some people might want to listen to. 
But you never know if someone is going to find your shit. The internet is huge, and podcasting is kind of a mess structurally. But you found it. Not only did you find it, but you told us you found it. You told other people about it. You threw a couple of bucks per month at us. You established a community. You gave us interesting angles to take on the show. Many of you listened to us record live.
I'm not bullshitting: this momentum made us work harder and it made the podcast better—it's the coolest thing I've ever done. Thank you for this.
