Laying out the next phase of the podcast
Added 2020-07-04 20:23:10 +0000 UTCAs we've been saying, the eventual content structure of the podcast is going to revolve around the model of a main series and a miniseries. As the Perfect Works series wraps up with episode 8 coming up very soon, we're shifting toward the new model towards the end of the month. We absolutely still have a few things planned for Xenogears bonus content!
Looking ahead, we're in the thick of the very weird Terranigma miniseries. I think people are going to really enjoy how the podcast is coming together. I hope the miniseries inspires some folks to try out the game -- it's very eccentric and weird in a lot of neat ways. We plan to release episodes of this series every other Wednesday starting on July 22, 2020. Once production of Chrono Cross ramps up, this schedule should give us plenty of time to work on two series at once, as well as giving everyone plenty of time to consume our shows.
We like to plan ahead, so once Terranigma recording is complete, we'll officially begin accepting nominations for the next miniseries (of course, feel free to start throwing out ideas whenever you'd like). There's not a set criteria to qualify for a mini yet, but it'll probably be somewhere in the vicinity of a 20-25 hour JRPG. More to come on the selection process down the road.
