Hopefully you already follow @vauntastic and @corwinprescott on IG, but if not - you might want to start! This duo kind of fits my aesthetic perfectly, and I've wanted to work with both of them for years. He filmed 3 videos of us (which will be on my OF starting next month!) and we also shot some beautiful nudes in the forest.
The Portland trip got me thinking a bit. I love my NYC chosen family, and there is endless creative work (and inspiration) here. I love my work studio and loft. But I wish I had a house...with rooms, walls, quiet spaces. I wish I had a backyard, a garden, forests to wander into. I do not particularly want to mow a lawn or pay a lot of money for gardening and groundskeeping though haha.
For now I guess I'll just keep gluing the broken floor tiles in my bathroom back down, and inhaling questionable particulates any time I open my windows.
My friend in Portland works on an organic farm, and she gave me a tour. I don't think I can withstand hours of manual labor out in the sun, but picking tea leaves and washing produce for a living doesn't sound terrible. I found the city itself a little boring, but the nature outside the city was so lovely. I imagine myself more upstate NY, Catskills or something someday...but I wonder if I would miss the city too. It's addicting, I must admit...
