TNA Bound For Glory 2012

Comments

Leaving this hear to give myself credit for knowing that Sia wrote Diamonds (lowkey the what was #1 bit is maybe my favorite part of all these videos)

Frado_C

I wonder if Sting assumed Jim Carrey played The Joker in Batman Forever and just didn't bother double-checking cause: c'mon, it's TNA.

Mr. Samuel Scratch

I enjoy your deep dives into old tech and stuff because I know I’m close to Luke in age so different countries but the nostalgia hits the same

Darren Lloyd

Why does Luke doing the distorted Aces and Eights voice sound like Brian Butterfield?

Mick Reynolds

Luke looks like Homer Simpson too!

Pop culture hoe

LUKE: This is a GREAT idea.

WrestleTalk

I’m listening on audio so they may be doing this…. But i hope the boys are cutting between clips/recording sessions with full fade to black and back up

Gareth Jones

Fuck Peter Thiel. That guy needs to have an aneurysm

Billium El Rey Walrus-kun

Fact Check: this was Tessmachers second reign as knockouts champion, first reign she beat Kim for the title and second reign beat Rayne to get the title not Tara. And also the reason Terrell was first introduced was because Rayne beat tessmacher to end her first reign because she had Earl Hebner. So terrell was introduced for the rematch.

Sorry it’s a deadlock reference

I've always loved the fact that the big reveal of Devon was done with his back to the camera. 😆 And the Hogan save spot was so awful, right out of the Rock 'n' Wrestling era where guys just wait their turn to be slightly tapped in the head and sell it like they've been hit with a sledgehammer.

mike wolfe

Hogan's growling sounds like he's becoming Ultimate Warrior.

Taylon Wilkinson

I have every TNA PPV from 2009 - 2014 on DVD and the majority of the impact episode recorded on VHS. They are all in a box in my mom's basement, if you want to pay for shipping from Canada

Jason Downey

TNAutumn!

Figment

That was my point, but I wonder if Al Snow was a trainer behind the scenes. I feel like he had a wrestling school as well.

Adele A. Lugosi

When they were talking about King Mo I don’t know why I was thinking of Mo from Men on a Mission

Dizzy Gal

And just after this podcast Peter Thiel is in the Epstein files.

Gavin Leonard

Al Snow was the lead trainer on the original seasons of Tough Enough. He literally helped train everyone who came through Tough Enough at that time.

DennyDorko

2:00:00 also absolutely insane how Vince let Samoa Joe go TWICE.

Chris deaton

Miss Teschmaker is also in the new Superman

Morgan Leggett

Did anyone else notice James storm getting handed a beer from the crowd drinking from it then handing the rest back and the rest was red from his blood getting in the cup

Joseph Velez

counter point. call him Magnus Aldis.

Felixious Zheng

2:08:42 I did not know magnus was nick aldis, wow

Sunfire

I remember my reaction to the D-Von reveal went from “ok who is this?” to “Its D-Von? So is Bully Ray the leader of Aces and Eights then?“ They could have taken the chance to see D-Von as the leader but as soon as you think about it you realise that let’s be honest D-Von is always a follower never the one who calls the shots so it wouldn’t have probably worked

TheChiefin

Someone could watch all the Wrestletalk Extra "Where Were You?" segments in PPV release order to piece together Luke and Oli's entire adult lives. Not me, but someone.

DennyDorko

27 mins in and you apologizing for going on a tangent in a conversation, not my first episode lads

Georgie Tuffs

And the place was full. I sat right behind Australian Hogan (Aussie guy who always dressed like Hulk, and had a documentary about him.

Square root of negative one

Luke, i will say TNA is still TNA at this point they just emphasise the Impact Wrestling branding of the TV show, they won't officially become Impact until the Anthem buy them and they want to get the stink off them. Also it was Bobby Roode that "worked" both GFW and NXT at the same time, there was also commentary done in post talking about how he was the NXT champ

Shawn Lindsay

OMG, the LG Chocolate!! My first ever phone

Jake

Next series should be Joker Sting

XO Jayla

I've been waiting for this. Always fun watching/listening to you guys review tna shows. Edit: Just realised Hogan growling sounds like Lukes golden egg Vince McMahon Impression 😂😂😂

JoeIdea

LADIES. GENTS. GET THE DAMN BUBBLY!!! ITS TNA TIME!!! 🍾🍾🍾🍾

Benji

So excited to see even more tna crazyness

Sticki Matt

Great episode. Tna was and is still my wrestling.

Yaelryy Spear

Ok so I think I shocked a few people (mainly Luke and Oli) when I said that this was my favorite TNA PPV of all time. A little bit of context. I started watching wrestling in 2008 and never watched TNA before the January 4th episode. I then started to watch regularly in 2011 when WWE was not that great. In 2012, I was deep in the TNA > WWE camp, so I remember being so excited for this show. I am indeed a huge James Storm fan, a big fan of Hardy and Aries at that time, and somehow I was invested in the Aces and Eights storyline and didn't find it completely dumb. Maybe it's just because I wanted to believe that TNA was better than WWE back then, but this PPV brings back good memories. I even have a review of it from a forum I was on back then. So yeah, I stand by it, this is my favorite TNA PPV of all time

Kevin Fleuriot

I was at the show. Had a lot of fun

ITS TNA SEASON!!
