05/05/2024 - Post 2.2 Dev Update

Good evening everybody! I hope you’ve all enjoyed the latest update of Twinewood if you’ve had the chance to play it. Today I’m going to talk a little bit about my plans for 2.3 and some updates to the future of this patreon.

Firstly there are a few known bugs with 2.2 I am now aware of and actively fixing including the change content option from the in game menu leading to an error and something being up with the galley. I’ve already been able to fix the content option issue but the gallery still needs some playtesting. If you find anything whether it be errors or typos please feel free to let me know, it helps out a lot.

There has been a little bit of discourse in regards to the Kara/Maya choice and I want to say though it might feel like you’re missing out on content by being forced to choose one or the other, there’s nothing stopping you from re-playing the episode or even the whole game to try out different options, and even then there are still going to be some minor scenes here and there with the love interest you didn’t choose if your enabled content allows for it. Twinewood is a game after all and I do want to have some decisions which properly alter the course of the story.

Update 2.3 is likely around a month or two away and my early plans for the content include some more render updates for episode 1, particularly implementing the new classroom, and a handful of new events for episode 3. The gallery will also likely see some updates as it’s still kind of a WIP as I’m figuring out the best ways to present it. Without giving too much away the end of episode 3 will mark a pretty big turning point in the story and the end of what I kind of think of as the introduction to the world so even if things seem a little slice of lifey right now I assure you things are moving along and there is a larger story to be told. Right now I’m thinking the story is going to take at least ten episodes to conclude, if not more so there’s a whole lot left to come.

In regards to my patreon I’m very grateful to all my supporters new and old and I’m working at figuring out some new ways to reward you guys since Twinewood Tales hasn’t been too regular and I want to tone back the amount of VIP exclusive content in the game to allow as many people as possible to enjoy the full experience. Bonus lewd renders will definitely continue and I have a few ideas in the works but if you have any thoughts or suggestions I’d love to hear them. Expect some changes coming soon.
