Alternative to Patreon! Flogger Forge is coming! New options up for vote!

The Flogger Forge is coming

As most of us are hunkered down—many of us away from the people we typically play with—the next tutorial I release will be something that we can do on our own: Rope Floggers!

To give you a good foundation for this, I actually have to create about 12 tutorials; core knots and techniques that you can then assemble like Lego blocks to build what you want. I have most of the photos and filming in the can, but I have a massive amount of editing to do before I will have something for you (At last count there were about 600 pictures to go through!) But the cool thing about this is that after I take you through the foundations, I can show you how to create many different types of floggers!

I plan to do a round 1 that goes through one set of knots, and then do a few floggers based on those ... and then do a round 2 with a few more knots and a second round of floggers. This will be a brand-new section of TheDuchy called Flogger Forge!

Alternative to Patreon

But while I’m working on that, I have something else exciting to share: We now have an alternative to Patreon!

Last summer I conducted a survey of things that I can improve and the number one request was to find a way that people could support TheDuchy but not use Patreon. That is soon to become a reality! I am currently testing a new membership method that and the testing seems to be going well! The cool thing about this method is that you do not have to switch off of Patreon; if you like it here, you can stay here. But those of you who find Patreon frustrating can now switch to a different solution directly on TheDuchy which is much simpler to manage and access. This also benefits TheDuchy, in that more of your support comes through to us and less is lost in fees.

On Friday, 5/8, I will send all of you a coupon code that will allow you to switch from Patreon to an account directly on TheDuchy, so that those of you who would like to switch don’t get double charged for the month of May. The code I send you will also allow you to refer a friend who will get a free month if they join!

One change that I am implementing in the new system is that there will no longer be a $3 level; however we will still honor the $3 level here on Patreon, so those of you who like that level welcome to stay here.
