The wife owns the TV so I'm in the same scenario as you, playing handheld so we can hang out in the same room. It blew my mind after moving from the Switch. It's extremely easy to use and its smaller than it seems when you actually hold onto it. The Indie games can't be beat on it and it plays Xbox and PlayStation exclusives both. It's my favorite piece of technology possibly ever. You can buy one and play with it until the Switch 2 comes out and get off the worn-out OG Switch.
