New video! But what is a convolution?

Hey Everyone,

As promised, here's a new video going deeper into convolutions, and in what sense the FFT algorithm can be used to speed up their computation. Originally the plan was to do an overview of both the discrete and continuous cases, but there was enough material I wanted to cover that I decided to pull out the continuous discussion into its own video. Given that many of the visuals for that are already made, in theory, it shouldn't be too long before that one is out as well.

Usually, I would give an early patron preview for this kind of project, but given the promise made in the most recent video on Borwein integrals to explain the interplay between Fourier transforms and moving averages, I was feeling a bit antsy to just get this one out to the wider world while there's some chance the previous one was fresh in viewers' minds.

Let me know if there's anything you'd like to see for the continuous case.

Waiting for your continous convolution neural network video. Any idea of the timelines?

Brilliant exposition. Great way to introduce the use of specific wavelets (signatures) for detection of events in time series filtering.
