When Deokim refuses, the maids' homes are raided for contraband, and a book the king gave Deokim as a child is discovered. Accused of stealing, Deokim's life is on the line and it's up to her, Prince San, and the Queen to try and spark the King's memory after he's been diagnosed with dementia. After this, we learn the tale of the fairy maids and soon discover that this story has been used to create a rebel group of maids with our nasty head maid in charge. Her real motives are revealed and we are shocked as plot thickens!

Omg I love the next couple of episodes! Getting to the meat of the story :) hahaha the passion you both have in this episode is so cute and hilarious! Free just wanting to make a death note of all these morons and Mer being surprised at all the tea we just found out by court lady Park 😂 thank you guys

Believe me, after finishing episode 17, you need to rewatch it to understand everything thoroughly. You will discover new facts every time you rewatch. This drama is very compact with conflict and intensity. That's why Lee Junho chose "King the Land" as his next project after "The Red Sleeve". He wanted a drama that is fresh and light after the drama that drained him emotionally and mentally.
