Grow Into It
Added 2017-02-23 07:11:39 +0000 UTCThis was supposed to be a simple idea I could hammer out in a day or two, but as with everything else I've tried this month it became a harder than necessary task. I'd started out with the explanation being given at the start, but that was just an expo-dump that delayed the actual growth.
So I took what is the first scene here, which was already in progress, and moved on from there. And then I couldn't find or make time to get it all done at once, so instead I wrote a little bit here, a little bit there.
Ideally I would have had this up a week ago, not today.
Hopefully the false starts and snail's pace that affected me won't come across to you, the reader. Enjoy.

2017-02-23 16:04:30 +0000 UTCIt read well, and I didn't get a sense of too many false starts, probably just one near the beginning. I kept expecting the part of the twist to be that Kim's Mum was sending Kim her hand-me-downs and that she'd been knocked up while Kim was away at college.
