"Texting with... Riku" pt. 8

My mind begins to numb. I've been watching the minutes click by on my dashboard clock for hours now.

The wayward client I came here to pick up is still trying to get a hold of their luggage. Some kind of dust up at baggage I suppose.

It's almost enough to start making my skin crawl. I've been tapping my foot into the floor of the car so long I think I'm starting to wear a hole in it.

When I get the chat notification, I can't open my phone fast enough.

stickShift90: Oh wow. So downtown has got to be a nightmare, with everything going on down that way.

rikuBaby69: riku will be alright! She has been to Tokyo many times and it is much like this.

stickShift90: That's true. Still, I know I hate driving down there. It's always a zoo getting in or out.

stickShift90: You'll probably get around a lot faster on foot anyway. So you really didn't need me after all.

rikuBaby69: awwww, riku would still have you for the company 😉

rikuBaby69: and so she could bat her eyelashes and get u to buy her pretty things!

stickShift90: Probably get away with it too if you press your chest out when you bat those big pretty eyes of yours.

rikuBaby69: So what is downtown like?

stickShift90: It's where the financial district is located. They have art districts, museums, and some great restaurants. You'll find plenty to see down there.

rikuBaby69: Do u like to come down here?

stickShift90: Not when I'm working. But after hours, its a great place to go for a classy drink. If you don't mind paying the prices.

rikuBaby69: Oh, it is a lot of money?

stickShift90: Yeah, but it's nothing you should be worried about.

stickShift90: Just go hang out by the bar, and I bet you don't go a minute without someone offering to  buy you a drink.

rikuBaby69: Awwww, stickshift90 is making riku blush!

rikuBaby69: She is not THAT cute!

stickShift90: That's your opinion anyway.

rikuBaby69: Stop! Stickshift90 is 2 sweet! Riku will beat u up!

rikuBaby69: Everyone is always nicest to tourist! Riku has been all over the world, and everywhere she goes, people are always so nice to riku!

stickShift90: I can think of two big reasons why that is.
