Bonus video! Gay high school boyfriends, and David Lynch's queer work

I just came across the application letters from a bunch of the early cast of The Real World, and found a funny story about Pam (from San Francisco) and a high school experience that I suspect many of us will find familiar.
Plus! As we remember the wonderful work of David Lynch, I want to share a few recommendations for queer moments in his movies and TV shows. Unfortunately, there aren't many! But the few that he has are very good.
Also, if we're using "queer" in the sense of "weird," you may want to feast your eyes on his hard-to-find followup to Twin Peaks, an attempted sitcom called On the Air. We'll be streaming a few clips from that, and also the pilot of Twin Peaks, on today's Twitch livestream.

Ahhh that makes sense. I was there right when the busway opened so I wasn't familiar with what was there before!

2025-01-28 01:56:32 +0000 UTCI posted this on the YouTube. Mentioning the islands means the area spoken about is Chandler Blvd from Laurel Canyon to Van Nuys Blvd. Was always a high-end neighborhood. Lots of trees and grass.
