I want your questions!

Hi folks!

We're rapidly approaching the 500th episode (!!!!) of The Sewers of Paris, and to celebrate I'm doing a Q&A episode where I answer questions from listeners! But to do that ... I need questions. Got any for me?

Patrons have always been super involved in all of my work -- you're constantly sending me tons of great clips to check out, ideas for future videos, and resources to dig into. (It was a patron who connected me with the Loud family for the latest video!) So I definitely want to make sure I'm including your questions in this episode!

We'll be recording it next week, and questions can be about the podcast, media history, past guests, recommendations, how Sewers fits in with my videos and other work -- I'm game to talk about whatever you're curious about. Submit your questions in the comments here, or email them to me at matt@mattbaume.com.

And thanks again for being a part of everything I do! Looking forward to lots more in 2025.

Oh, no I'm not familiar -- I'll have to check that out.

Hi Matt, I'm curious if you know anything about author Elise Rolle of Queer Places. I find myself at her encyclopedic web site while researching queer people through time and space. The website, however is difficult to navigate, and I'm confused but impressed by the connections and shear volume of info found there...

Ooh that's an interesting question. I just posted the Q&A episode but if we do more I'll include this question!

I'm interested in your take on whether the inclusion of violence has had a positive impact on films that also include LGBTQ+ themes being taken seriously and how that might have shaped our LGBTQ+ cinema experience. You've dealt with the varied stereotyping of the community in film and television. I'm a relative newcomer to your channels, so this may already have been covered. Love your work!
